What Is The Standard Etiquette Surrounding Wedding Gifts?

Always buy off the registry for wedding gifts. The coupe chose those things specifically and put a lot of time and effort into choosing the things on their registry. Therefore, it is always best to honor what the couple wants and their effort in creating the registry. It is also standard to get a gift for both the shower and the wedding. Another thing I always recommend is to have the gifts sent to the address on their registry if possible. One thing to keep in mind is those gifts have to get from the wedding to the couple’s home after the wedding. Therefore, always choose to have the gifts sent directly to the couple if given the option.

Would You Style An Elopement?

In short, YES! If you are interested in eloping (especially in such crazy times as now), I would love to style! Just because you are eloping doesn’t mean you should miss out on any of the pretty. We have been talking about small weddings a lot on the blog lately and would love for you to read more on them here if you’re interested. Small weddings and elopements are very popular right now and always a great option for couples who are interested. It’s your wedding and it should be done exactly as you want it!

What Does Your Process Look Like For Styling?

For styling, I start with a plan of how I want the pictures set up and the details styled but it also comes with some trial and error to see what works best. I will start with my plan and then go from there. By keeping the theme and feel of your wedding in mind, I typically have a really good starting off point and then mess with and rearrange all of the paper, florals, and details. Practice is another thing that has really streamlined the styling process. Its one of those things that the more you do it, the easier and quicker it is.

Do You Have Any Advice For Couples Who Want An Outdoor Wedding But Don’t Love Being Outdoors?

This is something we have come across with multiple of our past clients. Similarly, many of our clients worry about the unpredictable nature of the weather on their wedding day. To keep the open and light feel of an outdoor space without being truly outdoors, we recommend an indoor venue with lots of high windows. This helps to keep an outdoors feel but still provides more comfort for you and your guests. You can also find many venues with an indoor/outdoor setup or a covered area to get the best of both worlds!

What Are Your Thoughts On A Cash Bar?

We never recommend having a cash bar at your wedding. When keeping your guests in mind, it is always better to have an open bar if the budget allows for it. That is one of the reasons we recommend allowing plenty of space for an open bar in your wedding budget if you are wanting to have alcohol at your wedding. Most people don’t come to a wedding with the expectation of extra expenses and it is always considerate to your guests to have the drinks provided.

How Do You Feel About Bridesmaids Picking Their Own Dresses?

Personally, I love the idea of bridesmaids picking their own dresses… as long as they have guidance. It is always a nice way for the bridesmaids, who are doing so much to help and support you on your big day, to have a little more control over what they will be wearing on your big day. We have always heard the stories of bridesmaids complaining about having to wear a dress that they absolutely hate. That being said, It is your day. You have a whole color scheme and overall look to your wedding that you want to maintain. Therefore, we recommend letting your bridesmaids pick their dresses but under your guidance and approval.
